Window to India is a digital media art project that offers a sensory and symbolic portal into the cultural richness and everyday textures of Indian life. Blending traditional visuals with experimental abstraction, this project acts as a "digital window", inviting the audience to peer into layered scenes that capture memory, movement, sound, and rituals from India’s diverse landscapes.
The visuals are not direct representations but rather emotional reflections, textile patterns ripple like water, ambient sounds flow through evolving color palettes, and everyday objects such as the khaat (rope bed), jalebi, or handwoven carpets become poetic motifs. The window itself may shift in form, echoing ideas of migration, nostalgia, and identity.
Created in TouchDesigner, Window to India uses real-time rendering, feedback loops, and interactive effects, allowing elements to respond to touch or motion. This piece blurs the line between past and present, the intimate and the infinite, honoring both rooted tradition and contemporary reinterpretation.
